~EPISODE TWO~ PREVIEW
Same Ol', Same Ol'
Summary:
There is a saying that once you've reached the age of twenty, your mindset and beliefs are permanently set (already made up of what you think of the world and life itself). Is that a bad thing? It is if "Change Is Good". Well, I can't speak for you, but for the four young women of City Life, I can.
Four twenty-something’s already have their minds set on certain things in their lives that need to be changed. For example, we have a self-centered model that needs to learn to appreciate others for who they are and not for what they have. She's the type that believes the world revolves around her.
There's a young wife who needs to learn to stand tall for her-self and learn to speak-up in this world... and her home. She's the type who has no spine.
We have a party animal that needs to learn how to sit down sometimes and take some things seriously. She never thinks twice about her actions and feels that the world would be a dead place without a little fun… well in her case, LOTS of fun! She's the type who loves a good time, but won't take time out to be serious.
And last, but not least, there is the youngest woman of the bunch. She needs to learn how to stop being the fool and move on. But when she does, will she ever trust men again? She's the type that doesn't know where she is going or where she'll end up.
Excerpt:
“I had a great time with you tonight.” Brad Larson smiled as he held tightly onto his girlfriend’s soft, manicured hands.
“Yeah, that was fun.” Eindreana returned the gesture.
Silence filled the cool night’s air as Brad dreamily gazed into Eindreana’s greenish-blue, jeweled eyes. Her green-gems looked as if they belonged with the diamond-stars that lit up the dark skies. He watched her dark, shiny tresses flow slowly as the wind blew through each strand. Brad was definitely enjoying the quiet, romantic moment between the two. Unfortunately, Eindreana was not. She let her eyes drift off into the star studded sky; anything to avoid the awkwardness and distract Brad’s impaling gaze.
. . . .
“Brad?” she whispered quietly to bring him back down to earth. He was mentally debating with himself on if he should do what was on his heart now or just put it off until later. The night’s sky was clear, the breeze was perfect and they had a great night tonight. Maybe this was the right time. He couldn’t wait any longer, so he just came out with it.
“I want to marry you.” he smiled brightly, confident that he was making the right choice. Eindreana on the other hand was not, at all, expecting this.
“Excuse me?” she raised an eyebrow, as if it would confirm that she’d heard correctly.
“Marry me, Drea.” Brad slowly bent down on one knee.
“No.”
“No?” Brad stood up from his knee and dusted off his pants.
“Yes, no!” she was nearly shocked. She didn’t know what to say, besides ‘no’.
Suddenly, her mind came back, “I can’t marry you!” she practically squeaked. Brad’s face and heart dropped. He was confused. Earlier, he was certain that she’d felt the same way about him as he did for her.
“Why?” he asked, trying to sound strong and not heartbroken. He was her first love too, wasn’t he?
A small smile curled upon Eindreana’s lips as she realized he was serious.
“Because…you’re a…delivery boy.” she giggled between her harsh words.
